Make a bequest

Making a Bequest

When you make a gift in your Will (a bequest) you ensure future generations will continue to benefit from your generosity. Your gift means further research and rapid scientific transfer of findings into policies and decisions that we need today.

This includes earlier diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of oral health conditions including oral cancer and innovative approaches to identifying diabetes in the dental clinic. Our researchers need dedicated and generous donors like you to make this research possibility a reality.

When writing your Will it is important to obtain legal advice, to ensure that your Will is valid and that it will achieve your wish. It is also important to consider the needs of your family when making your Will, and let them know if you decide to leave a bequest to the eviDent Foundation. The eviDent Foundation cannot provide you with legal advice, but we have provided suggested statements as a guide to assist you with the process.

Please refer to our Bequests – a lasting contribution brochure for further information.

In making a gift in your Will, the eviDent Foundation undertakes to always:

  1. Respect and protect your privacy.

  2. Respect that your Will is personal.

  3. Respect that your family and loved ones come first.

  4. Respect that leaving a gift in your Will is a decision that is yours to make, and that you need to make it in your own time.

  5. Respect that it’s your choice if you choose to inform us that you've left a gift in your Will.

  6. Give you the choice about how we communicate with you about the work of the eviDent Foundation.

  7. Give you as much choice as we can about how your gift will be used.

  8. Give you the opportunity to be connected with the work we do.

  9. Use your gift so that it has the greatest impact.

  10. Use all gifts efficiently and with care, sensitivity and respect.
